Windows 10: slow computer after update

i had the same issue after an update but my update number wasnt the same as the one everyone else is complaining about. i couldnt find an update to match that one. however microsoft edge had been installed on the my computer and although i am having issues with uninstalling it, i was able to at least disable it to get back to using google. still had issues with slow speeds and drivers that were working were either changed or non what they used to be hooked to. i did some further searching for what had been changed on the date i started having the issue.

there were to program updates ? in my computer that were not there before and on the date in question. so i uninstalled them and my computer went back to operating normally.

they were Intel Driver+Support assistant and Intel computing improvement program. numbers 2.4.05929 and 20.8.306.

it seems weird that everyone is doing something different to get their computer back to normal yet the different processes seem to work for some and not others. so im still not convinced of where the actual problem started. just on certain areas that whatever it is had effected. and since i didnt get the microsoft update that everyone else did with the exception of microsoft edge. i think its is safe to say you can rule that part out as being part of the current issue at hand.

  What makes you think that system is running slow? Is it when you are trying to run application?

  Did you install any third party security application?
  

From the screenshot that you have provided, I understood that it’s not the issue with the disk usage. The slowness might be due to the memory usage.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to run maintenance task and check if it helps.

  Select Control panel and Select System and Security.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshoot common computer problems under System and maintenance.
