Windows 10: Slow cursor speed when scrolling through files using the arrow keys. Can't set it back to...

Whenever I scroll through a list of files in Details view using the up/down arrows, my cursor slows down, before eventually starting to speed up, until it reaches its default scroll speed. When I let go of the arrow key, the scrolling stops by slowly decelerating until it eventually stops. The annoying this is, the moment I let go of the arrow key, the decelerating motion ensures I don't select the file I want to stop in.This wasn't the case before. Scrolling through a list of files was pretty responsive. Its default behavior should be that when I press the arrow key, it immediately speeds up,

Menu Scroll Speed is very slow.

I was wondering if there was a way to increase the scroll speed of the menu's in Edge. I just switched from chrome and it takes forever to scroll in a menu in edge.

NOTE: This is not a corrupt file issue. It scrolls just is really slow.

I use a lot of drop down lists that are very long. It literally scrolls less than 1/4 the speed that chrome does....

Any suggestions?

I was wondering if there was any specific reason the buttons to scroll down the list of reviews was stuck in the bottom left-hand corner? Whenever I want to read reviews, I always have to move my cursor and aim it at a small arrow that scrolls the reviews... I'd suggest that instead of making the arrows small and in a corner, it would be better placed to the sides of the review bar.

Changing the arrow cursor might have caused the problem if it was the only change made prior to the issue. Have you tried to undo this change? If doing so doesn't make any difference, you may try the following methods to resolve the issue:

Method 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• Right-click on the Start menu and select Control Panel.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar and click on
  Troubleshooting.
• Click on Hardware and Sound > Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: Uninstall and re-install the mouse driver.

• Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click the device name and select Uninstall.
• To re-install the mouse driver, select Scan for hardware changes.

Method 3: Change the mouse scroll speed through the Settings app.

• Click the Start menu and click on Settings.
• Go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad.
• You will see a slider. Use it to set how many lines the scroll wheel should skip at a time for every scroll. Simply hold and drag the slider to the number you want.
