Windows 10: Slow download speed on new windows 10 computer

I got a new computer in the mail a few days ago. Was getting blue screen error messages half the times I started up the PC that said Bad_system-config_error and also wasn't able to connect to the internet (it said it was connected to the wifi router but I got no internet access). I reinstalled windows completely and did a system restore which seemed to fix the problem last night, was playing games online and getting about 20-25 Mbps download speed when I did an internet speed test.


About 3 hours ago when I was online my internet suddenly throttled and I'm getting about 1-2 Mbps download speed, about 5 Mbps upload speed, and the latency is fine at about 17ms. I've updated the drivers on my network adapter from the intel website and I've also updated the drivers for my chipset to no avail. I think it's pretty clearly a problem with windows 10 since my internet speeds on my laptop and phone are fine. The onset was also extremely sudden, one minute I was playing CS then suddenly I was disconnected and my internet was running terribly slow.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.
