Windows 10: Slow Downloads Windows 10 vs Same Tests Ubuntu

I cannot figure this out. I have spend atleast 5 hours trying everything I can to get my download speeds up in Windows 10. On any given website my downloads are about 500k to 3mb a second.

This is not apparent when I dual boot to Ubuntu.

I have a 1GB fiber connection, but seeing Dial-up era results under Windows 10 =(

All tests run when trying different Windows 10 Group policy settings, and or Network Card Properties. Anything over 20Mb/s is when ran in Ubuntu.

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Windows 10 tethering connection terribly slow rather than ubuntu

Hi guys,

I need any information that could bring my windows 10 tethering connection working well. I tethered using my android, and i tested with speedtest, it could achieve 10Mbps at my phone, but terribly only 0.1Mbps at windows 10

As comparisons, i have dual boot laptop, i have tried tether to ubuntu, and it could achieve 10Mbps too...

I tried to "reset pc", nothing change. Windows cannot show any improvement. I ve tried to check, there was no any background app that consume big bandwidth ... Just the network was terribly slow...

Anyone's can suggest me about this. I prefer using windows rather than ubuntu for my job. But with this terrible connection, i cant working with windows... Please suggest me about this...
