Windows 10: Slow green progress bar windows 10. Explorer loading thumbnails slowly.

Imagine the following:You have a superfast PC with fresh M.2 drives. Every time you access a folder, you get a slow green explorer bar on top. It does not matter how many pictures or thumbnails there are in the folder, that green bar always appears. Go to Reddit and Quora; thousands of people are having the same problem.There are even entire webpages explaining how to fix this. Most of them indicate the folder properties and changing to "general items" which does not work.The problem is that there are so many people with "fixes" that simply do not work.After reading and trying every possible f

Hi, have you done any research on this? A general search for
thumbnails load slowly

But there are so many factors: how large a file is each image: where are the files located: what is the speed of access to that location: what else is the PC doing at the same time..... (check your task manager).

File explorer slow with loading thumnails and files

Step by step guide:
1. Hold Win+r to open run
2. Type msconfig and hit ok or enter
3. Click Services
4. Navigate to Windows search (you can sort the list in descending alphabetical order)
5. Uncheck tickbox
6. Click apply then ok
7. Select to restart now

Slow Green progress bar in File Explorer - possible solution

I tried this a few minutes ago on my PC, it was doing the green progress bar every time I opened my downloads folder. So far no more progress bar. I hope it helps.
