  1. Slow Internet on computer, but when the same WiFi connection is shattered to another...

I'm running windows 10 on my main PC, I have a fiber connection with 1 gigabit speeds. All my other PCs are getting 300-400 mbps except my main one, which is getting 5-10mbps. I have tried swapping the network cards and using Ethernet but it still won't get any higher speeds. Today however I was setting up another computer and I shared my main computers connection over Ethernet to a second computer and that computer was getting the 300-400 mbps speeds I was seeing on other computers but it was over the same connection that my main computer was still getting slow 5-10mbps speeds.

    :)

Slow internet connection from Wifi - Network adaptor

    Hi Maegen,

Slow internet connection could be due to outdated network adapter driver or Wi-Fi signal interruptions.

We would like to know some additional information to better isolate the issue:

    • Have you tried updating your network adapter driver?
    • Do you have any anti-virus or 3rd party security app running?
    • Is your computer updating Windows or other programs?
    • Have you done any changes on your computer prior to the issue?

In the meantime, we suggest that you try to run Network Adapter troubleshooter and
Internet Connection troubleshooter. It will find and fix problems with wireless network adapters and Internet connections. Follow the steps provided below:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Settings.
    • Click Update & Security, then choose Troubleshoot.
    • Click Internet Connections and Network Adapter.
    • Click Run the troubleshooter.

We will wait for your response.

    2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
