Slow internet on single device even post fresh install of Windows 10

    Hello,

I have an issue with internet speed notably download - ping and upload speeds are fine on a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 Home. We recently upgraded the internet in our house and that is when this became noticeable. The main issue is that all devices in the house get about 45-55Mbps download speeds but this one laptop tends to be in the 0.5-1.5Mbps range highest I've seen once or twice was 3. There are no issues with connecting to the network itself and connection does not drop. Browsing the internet speed is borderline tolerable with basic websites, but downloading files is a huge pain. I know these types of questions have been asked before, but I genuinely feel like I've tried almost everything I came across online to fix this. What I've already attempted:

    • Reset router/modem
    • Ran the network troubleshooting - no issues found
    • Checked for any services running in the background hogging network
    • Ran through all of the things "to do" on the microsoft page about slow internet can't find the link right now
    • Pinged the default gateway to check for good router connection - overall to my untrained eye everything in the network settings looks as if everything was running perfectly at 65Mbps...
    • Updated network driver; uninstalled network driver for fresh install
    • Updated Windows; uninstalled various March/April Windows updates
    • Gone into CMD and: renewed IP, flushed DNS, reset winsock, used the netsh commands
    • I even figured out a way to get gpedit.msc on Home and messed with the reservable bandwith %
    • I got desperate thinking something was throttling the wifi in the system and did a fresh install of Windows 10 Home - still slow

I'm out of ideas. The one huge thing I haven't tried is wired connection this laptop does not have an ethernet port for some reason and I haven't had a chance to get a USB adapter. Despite all of my googling the last 24hours regarding this, I'm not very tech savvy so I don't know what information I should be providing - ask anything. I'm just frustrated and tired at this point so any help is appreciated.

    :)

    windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

    Windows 10 issues!

I had a similar issue but it only happen on older hardware, Windows would install the stock drivers which would make it nearly impossible to access the internet. Luckily I had newest Intel and Realtek NIC drivers that ran perfectly on Win 10 x64 1607 version, installing those fixed my that problem.

This also can happen on a non-fresh install of WIn 10, when you try to boot from a different computer/motherboard, after a single failed boot, Windows will try to re-detect and re-install all of the drivers, which definitely won't be the most stable or newest.

I tried everything, flushing cache, resetting router, uninstalling the device completely from the list, removing the LAN connection entirely, none of those helped.
