Windows 10: Slow internetspeed after windows update

Hi. So I had a windows update pending so I updated it, but after the update my upload and download speeds were limited to 10mbps, after this I googled and changed something on the driver properties. After this the speed went to 180mbps. Before the update I got over 900mbps. I also tried using my laptop which got over wifi ~500mbps, so the problem isn’t in my internet connection. I tried updating and removing the intel ethernet driver, and even downloaded some utility called ”intel driver & support assistant” which didnt find anything to be updated. I can’t find anything to fix this, so if you have any ideas, please leave a comment. All help is appriciated!

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check it if helps.

Step 1: Run the System maintenance troubleshooter.

System Maintenance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

• Press Windows key and type Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting and hit Enter.
• Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
• Select System Maintenance.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
