Windows 10: Slow laptop after update

After the last update, I noticed that my computer was taking much longer to load my startup applications. What used to take 5 seconds now sometimes takes up to two minutes! After a bit of use, I found that the same applies not just to startup, but to everything. Once things are loaded, they don't seem to have the same problems, and if they do, it's minimal. However, the fact that almost instant loading now takes a long time after an update bothers me a lot.
