Windows 10: Slow Laptop at times. Possibly a System Interrupts Issue

Hello.

Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

My laptop is often very slow with CPU usage at 100%.

All necessary start-up items have been disabled, my SSD has been trimmed and junk files cleared.

In Task Manager, 'System Interrupts' is often at 100% (see below).





Performance Monitor shows some errors too:





When using my webcam for video chats, there is a lag of at least 5 seconds for other people viewing me (ie/ video and audio are not in sync). This happens using Google Chrome or the Facebook Messenger Desktop app.

I mention this as CPU is always at 90 - 100% as well when using my cam although System Interrupts is at an OK level (5%) during said chats.

Any help would be great.

System slow down

Hello,

Slow PC performance can be caused by several factors. Since you are aware of the issue's source, we suggest that you run the
Maintenance task. This will help you in checking and resolving any issues that is causing your device to slow down. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Click on Run maintenance task under System and Security.

System Interrupt High CPU Usage

Outdated drivers is one of the possible reasons why you're having issues with System Interrupt usage. To further isolate your concern, we suggest that you perform a clean boot by following the steps indicated on this
link. This is to for us to know if the issue is caused by one of the Windows applications or a third party
program.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
