Windows 10: Slow Laptop + No New Installations + Recently Purchased

I just bought my new laptop in November of 2022, and as of March 2023, it is extremely slow. Every time I open a new tab, I have to wait several moments for it to load, and I only have two other tabs open. My previous laptop was a Lenovo, which is why I bought another one because of the good experiences I've had with it over the past several years a great quality laptop for a student. But recently, with this slow-running computer, I do not know how much longer I can keep it when it does not provide an efficient web browsing experience. My computer has slowed down recently.

i would suggest you go into the settings app and going to windows update then going into advanced options and then recovery and try a reset of this pc, you can choose whether or not you'd like to keep the settings, a reset should remove anything that might be upsetting your pc, or you could see if you installed anything new recently that might have slowed it down, or maybe you took a recent update for windows, or a driver update, or it could be that you have a bad graphics driver? its best you reset this pc to fix the problem quick and simple, or you could do a factory reset, or you could try clean booting windows where it just loads the microsoft software, and no other software, this would show you if the installed programs are slowing your pc down, to perform a clean boot of windows, please follow these steps,

1. Go to the Start menu
   
2. Click Search
   
3. Type 'msconfig' and hit Enter
   
4. Click Services
   
5. Click the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox
   
6. Click Disable all
   

to check on start up programs that load when windows loads when new installed programs are installed, please follow these steps to stop any non Microsoft programs from starting

1. open the start menu and click the search and search for "task manager"
   
2. Click Open Task Manager
   
3. Click on start-up programs
   
4. Click Disable on all that are listed
   
5. Click the X to close Task Manager
   
6. Restart the system
   

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
