Windows 10: Slow Mouse, Win 10

Dear Microsoft Support, I Installed Windows 10 on my HP Netbook. The Netbooks specifications are: HP Netbook, Intel Atom CPU N455 1.66 Ghz, 2.0 GB Ram, ReadyBoost Cache 1.8 GB, 32 bits, Windows 7 Starter upgraded to Win 10, Primary Hard drive 214 GB, Secondary Hard drive N/A The problem I have is slow optical mouse pointer speed. I have reset the speed at maximum, but the mouse pointer lags. I tried using the touch pad but same problem. The problem might be the mouse driver but I don't know where to get an update. What is the solution?

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
• What is the exact of your Surface device?
• Please clarify that the issue is about the ARC Bluetooth Mouse somehow locks your computer and sends you to the lockscreen.

You could face this issue due to corrupt our outdated Mouse Driver. I suggest you to follow the steps given below and check if it helps you.

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Have you installed all pending Windows updates?

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

a) Press Windows key + W and type
troubleshooting.

b) Select Troubleshooting.

c) Select View all on the top left corner.

d) Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Move to next method if you still face this issue.

Method 2: Update drivers from Device manager.

Follow the steps to update drivers:

1. Right click in the Start button
and select Device Manager.

2. Expand the Mice and other pointing device.

3. Right click on the Mouse Device and select
update drivers.

Method 3: Uninstall and reinstall the Mouse driver from manufacturer’s website.

Follow these steps to Uninstall Keyboard driver.

a) Press Windows key + X and select
Device Manager.

b) Search for Mouse driver and expand it.

c) Right click on the Mouse
driver and select
Uninstall.
