Windows 10: slow performance in my pc

i have an asus vivobook R542uq laptop with i5 8th gen processor 8 gb of ram and 2gb nvidia geforce 940mx graphics card.even though these are decent specs i feel a bit laggy performance.it takes about a minute to boot and taskbar is not load as soon as desktop is seen it takes about another 10 seconds to boot the taskbar completely.all softwares are partially loading during first time ,we can see the minimize maximize and close button of settings in blue colour after which is turned into white.all things are laggy and taking time to load.is this normal?or any hardware or software error ?

i installed ms office 2016 using 35mb compressed file.is this the problem?kindly suggest me some solution to cure the problem.
