Windows 10: Slow startup after updating Windows 10 to version 2004

I just did the Windows 10 update to version 2004. No after I sign in it takes 5 full minutes for anything to come up.

Click Update which will download the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

Step 4: It will start downloading the update and also shows the percentage of download.

Windows slow startup after updating windows to may 2004 update

Hi,

I use Dell Inspiron 15 5567 laptop, recently due to slow startup I reinstalled windows and then it started working normally but after reinstalling windows I got an update of windows May 2004 version update .After updating the laptop ,boot up time is very
slow like it takes up to 2.5 minutes to start after entering to desktop again I've to wait for 10 seconds more to settle down things .Even I have uninstalled that windows update to solve this problem but still the problem exists. So it would be helpful if
anyone comes with a fix for this.

 

Slow Startup

see if my words helps...skip the steps that u already tried.
1. check the start-up items. Run the command of "msconfig" , check the "start up" page(i am not sure of the precise name of this page,coz.i am using chinese version of windows). diable ALL the items listed. save the setting and restart.
2. check the free space of each partition of harddisk. make sure that each partition has a free space of more than 1 gb( higher ,better).
3. check the list of installed programs, through the control panel. uninstall those seldom used
4. it might be unkown comflict of softwares. keep your system as clean as possible. for example, you can disable your antivirus, then restart to see if it is faster
5. it might be fragments. defrag all partitions.
6. manage the services of your system. right click "my computer",click "manage(G)", in the window below, the third level-1 menu is "service and applications". disable unecessary auto startup services.
