Windows 10: Slow system on a brand new gamer laptop

Hi,


I bought this laptop Asus x571 a couple of days ago, and from the very beginning I realized it took a lot of time to turn on. Then, I installed my games, and while playing I had no issues, actually, it is a gamer pc considering the price. The problem is that when I need to open a file, or press windows, or just use the computer outside the gaming experience it is constantly freezing. While writing this very paragraph, I type the words but they appear a couple of seconds later.


A list of things that I tried:


- updating drivers and windows

- deleted all apps that were unnecessary for me or for the purpose of gaming

- Checked if my pc actually had the characteristics that it was supposed to have. it did

- I used task manager to understand and see what was making so much problem. My RAM is always at 40 or more % when idle, and when gaming goes up, maybe up to 80 or more %.


these are my laptop characteristics.




Also, it is a 1TB HDD. I know a HDD it is supposed to be slower, but this is not the problem, isn't it?



I have always used macs, this is my first windows, but I do not think this is the right way in which a windows pc should work.


Do you have any suggestion?

window 10 is very very slow on my brand new HP pavilion laptop.

My brand new HP pavilion laptop that i bought recently is extrmely slow from the beginning...... please help me and suggest me a solution for this. i will be very thankful to Microsoft. Should i degrade the window to 8.1 or what? it is very slow at startup
and when i open anything like chrome or anything in my pc it starts lagging all the time....please help me ASAP.

 

brand new laptop running slow

I have a brand new less than twenty four hours old hp laptop which came with windows ten and it is running slow I cant even effectively be on the internet or use any apps it is not my internet connection because I have tried several of my friends and families
and same thing> the mouse acts funny as well> what do I do?

Hi, I have a brand new Toshiba laptop with Windows 10 that has gotten SO SLOW. Noticed the disk activity was 100% and tried these troubleshooting/fixing items, without any good result.

I am so freaking frustrated with Windows 10 already.

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your System
Maintenance.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter.

Method 2: Restart the Windows installer service and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type Services.msc In the search box.
• Select Windows installer.
• Restart the services.
