Windows 10: Slow System performance after windows 10 1909 update!!!

I had recently upgraded to windows 10 before upgrading i was using windows 7 ultimate and was fine with it . After windows 7 ending support i finally decided to switch to Windows 10 . I wanted to see whether it was stable so i borrowed an old installation disk from one of my friends and installed windows 10 pro . He had used the product key so i could not activate my windows 10 . Things worked perfect for me and i bought the newer installation disk of windows 10 pro version 1909 and installed it . Things were not so good this time . After the installation I had noticed slow down of my system and also that the solid state drive light of my laptop was steadily on . In the task manager my ram usage and disk usage went too high than previous windows 10 . I ignored it and expected my system to be fast after the reboot . But no it is so slow that the start menu would only appear after 10 second after pressing . Please help me with any solutions I have a low end pc but was working well for me for years.


Specs of my pc is as follows :-

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.40GHz

Ram - 2 gb

Storage type - Solid State Drive

Storage Capacity - 233 gb

Operating System - Windows 10 PRO

Operating System Type - 32 bit

Operating System Version - 1909

Method: 1

Perform System Maintenance troubleshooter.

I would suggest you to perform System Maintenance troubleshooter on the computer and check if it fixes the issue.

Please follow the steps to perform System maintenance check to improve performance of the computer:

• Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Click on View all on the left side panel.
• Click on System Maintenance and follow the onscreen instructions.

Method: 2

Perform Clean Boot

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

• When exactly does the system slow performance issue persists?
• Does the issue confined while performing any specific task on Windows 10?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows Updates and driver updates after upgrading to Windows 10?

I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check it if helps.

Step 1: Run the System maintenance troubleshooter.

System Maintenance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

• Press Windows key and type Troubleshooting.

• Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
