Windows 10: slow wifi broadband with windows but fast with Linux Ubuntu

I am dual booting my PC with windows 10 Home 21H2 and Ubuntu 20.04 In windows I only get <.6 MBPS but in Ubuntu the WIFI Broadband is >40MBPS `and so it's not the hardware. I deleted and reinstalled RealTek Wireless Adaptor driver but it made no difference. Windows is all up to dateANYONE HELP PLEASE

WiFi-Direct Connection between Windows and Linux(Ubuntu)

Hi,

I'm using the WiFi-Direct application from the Windows Universal Samples package to establish a connection between a Windows machine and a Linux (Ubuntu) machine which uses WPA Supplicant.

The WiFi Direct application works fine between two Windows machines.

Likewise, I'm able to connect two Linux machines via WiFi Direct using WPA Supplicant.

But I'm unable to connect the Windows WiFi Direct app with WPA Supplicant in Linux.

The Windows machine receives a connection request from Linux and, after the necessary credentials are entered, a response is sent back to Linux. But in the Linux machine the authentication fails and connection is not established

I also tried using another app called "WiFi Direct Legacy AP Demo" from the Windows Classic Samples package, but to no avail.

Are there any compatibility issues with Windows WiFi Direct app and WPA Supplicant? If yes, is there any other way to connect a Linux and a Windows machine using WiFi Direct?

Ubuntu Help? Drivers for WiFi and Graphics, etc.

I'm looking to install Ubuntu on my 4th rig (one of two dedicated WCG crunchers), an X58 with a Xeon X5670 @ 4,2 Ghz. My 30 day windows trial has ended, lol

So, finding Ubuntu OS is no problem, but I'm looking for drivers for:

• USB Drivers for the motherboard?
• Rosewill RNX-N300UB USB Wifi Dongle
• NV GT 220 Graphics Card
• And Teamviewer for Ubuntu

...I think that's it. Where to go? I'm a complete Ubuntu NooB!

 

Ubuntu terminal not displaying git messages correctly

I understand that the output for Ubuntu terminal is not showing properly for GIT commands.



I suggest you to try re-enabling Windows Subsystem for Linux and then uninstalling and re-installing Ubuntu from Microsoft Store. Follow the steps to disable Windows Subsystem for Linux and uninstall Ubuntu.



Disable Windows Subsystem for Linux:

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.
   
2. In Run dialog box, type
   appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
   
3. Now on the left hand pane click on
   Turn Windows features on or off.
   
4. Now on the Windows feature window scroll down and uncheck the box next to
   Windows Subsystem for Linux.
   
5. Click on OK and Restart the PC.
   

Uninstall the Ubuntu app:

1. Go to Settings >
   Apps > Apps & features.
   
2. Now search for Ubuntu app.
   
3. Click on the app and click on
   Uninstall.
   
4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
