Windows 10: Slow WiFi only on my device not on my mobile or on my other PC, turning off WiFi fixes it...

Internet speed on my mobile phone and my other laptop is steady 50-60 Mbps at all times. My main laptop's HP EliteBook 830 G5 internet speed drops to anywhere between 0.2 and 10 Mbps a few minutes after browsing internet - every single time I use it. I've tried troubleshooting it by updating the wireless driver, I disabled energy-saving option in the wireless driver properties Device Manager > Network Adapters, select Wifi adapter, then Power Management tab by unchecking the "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save energy" but none of these helped. The problem must be on this

Is there anything better than this which has maximum Wifi range? For example can it play movie from 30 meter distance ? From other room ?

Error "The wifi network .... didn't respond" when using PC as mobile hotspot

Original title:- Use my PC as a mobile hotspot

When my PC has a cellular data connection, I want to turn it into a mobile hotspot to share my connection with other devices.

To do this I follow these steps.

  Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet
  > Mobile hotspot.
  
• 
  Select Edit, enter a new network name and password, and then select
  Save.
  
• 
  Turn on the control under Mobile hotspot to share your cellular data connection.
  

After that I enter my Password to my nokia lumia 925 phone and try to connect to my new wifi network.

But it says "The wifi network .... didn't respond"

• I enter my password correctly.
• Turn of my wifi in pc
  

 

Why is my wifi slow?

Crowded look which channels are populated the most.

If you have a mobile phone you can use an app called Wifi Analyzer it list you all networks and channels otherwise your router does that as well in the config menu.

If all of those option are not available for you try changing the channel randomly in your router wifi setup
