    I am seeking advice on how to improve my WiFi speeds on my new laptop. It seems as if the speed is capped at 10Mbps. Our older laptop running on Windows 10 -1803 gets speeds over twice this speed.

    I was told by a technical advisor at my ISP that Windows Defender might be the cause of this problem. My new laptop can run on 2.4 or 5GHz and I've tried both, but I have no improvement. Any help is appreciated.

    Dell XPS 15 2019- Wifi Speed issue

    The Dell installed "Smartbyte" is a known cause of internet speed slowdowns. On the Dell forums if we get someone complaining about slow speed when their other devices do not have the slowdown, the first thing we suggest is to uninstall Smartbyte.

    On my Dell Inspiron 15 that came with Smartbyte, my Internet speed was running in the low 80Mb/sec range. I removed Smartbyte and it jumped up to around 115Mb/sec.

    WiFi speed decrease on Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop.

    I use Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop. From 2 weeks i am facing a problem where my laptop is getting lesser speed wifi connection while i am getting higher speed on my mobile. My mobile is getting 40 mbps and my laptop is getting only 10 mbps.
    I have tested the speed of both the devices simultaneously side by side. I tried to diagnose the network adapter, it says "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding". I tested the wifi network
    on other laptop, the speed in the other laptop is normal. I also tried connecting my Dell Inspiron to different wifi network surprisingly the designated speed is be achieved. Please help me with a solution for the above problem.

    Dell Inspiron N5050 wifi very slow after upgrading to windows 10

    Hi,

    I have a Dell N5050 laptop which had windows 7, recently I ugraded to windows 10 but unfortunately there is no necessary drivers available for this model for windows 10.

    Once my windows was upgraded, my wifi speed dropped from 90mbps to 200kbps.

    LAN connection still gives me 90mbs though.

    Kindly help me with the necessary drivers for Dell Inspiron N5050.
