Windows 10: Slow Windows 10 PC with 2 GB RAM and intelr coretm i3-2100 cpu @ 3.10ghz 2 core

Hi all,


I helping someone speed up the following desktop machine:


Windows 10 PC updated from Windows 7 with 2 GB RAM and intelr coretm i3-2100 cpu @ 3.10ghz 2 core


The PC was extremely slow could take 30 seconds for anything to happen after clicking on windows logo start, search bar, document folder, etc. Everything just lags making it impossible to use.


I reinstall Windows 10 again and made sure to keep apps running to minimum. Nothing other than Windows 10 default apps installed.


It is ever so slightly faster now but still not great.


Am I waiting my time with this? Any ideas how to boost speed without updating RAM?

windows 10 on core 2 duo with 2 GB ram

I am using pc with core 2 duo e7300 processor with 2 GB ram will I be able to use Windows 10(64 bit) properly on this pc or I need to increase my ram

 

Will my DG31PR motherboard and Core 2 Duo Processor be overworked with Win 10 upgrade?

I have a DG31PR with an Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4 GHz processor, Nvidia Geforce GT 710 2GB GPU and 4 GB RAM.

My motherboard is not listed under Windows 10 compatible motherboards, but the compatibility checker says that it is compatible for an upgrade.

My question is, if I do install Windows 10 in my PC, will my CPU be overworked? Like running at above 50% use all the time, such that my other processes get slow?

Not every computer/laptop is created equal and what's more important here than RAM is what your CPU is. The minimum is a Core i3-3210. Do you know what your's is?
