Windows 10: Slower internet speeds on HP Laptop Than Normal

So I have this problem where my internet speed is not reciprocated on my HP laptop. I normally fix this by using HP Assistant where it would reset my network adapters and I would gain my normal mbps 120 but recently HP assistant is not fixing my issues and I’m stuck with an mbps of between 15-30. I’ve checked other devices in the household to check if it’s a router problem but all the devices are going up to 120mbps. Please help me.

There are several factors that affect your internet speed. A few would be connection speed, network traffic, hardware capability, and type of connection. To help us identify what might be causing the slow internet speed on your laptop, allow me to ask the
following information:

• How's your laptop connected to the network? Is it directly wired to the modem/router or wirelessly connected?
• Were your other computers that were getting 100 Mbps download speed connected to the same network?
• Were there other devices connected to the network while you tried to download?
• Have you tried connecting your laptop to a different network? Did you get the same internet speed?

In the meantime, please run a speed test on your laptop. If the internet speed is slower that your internet package, then you may try to update the drivers of your network adapters to ensure that it's up-to-date. Please check out and follow the steps provided

If you're trying to download while your laptop is wirelessly connected to your network, then kindly check its wireless adapter speed by checking its Wireless Network Connection Status. Follow these steps:

1. Right-click the wireless icon on your system tray, click Open Network & Internet settings, then click
   Wi-Fi.
2. On the right pane, click Change adapter options.
3. Right-click your Wireless Network Connection and click
   Status.

Progressively Slower Internet

For months I have been trying to understand why my internet connection becomes progressively slower as I use my Dell XPS8700 PC. I seem to have read every "solution" on the internet, and tried most of them, but nothing makes any long-term difference. My
one solid clue is that a restart "cures" the problem (ie normal internet speeds return) but then the same progressive slowing starts all over again. A normal shut down and startup of the PC does not "cure" the problem in the same (temporary) way.

Any suggestions would be more than welcome!

 

FIXED!! Why internet speed of my Gigabyte pc slower then HP pc?

Thanks for answering. I do not use the HP while using the Gigabyte plus up above I did unplug the network cable from the HP pc and use that in the Gigabyte pc. They are both set to Auto Negotiation in the Device Manager> properties of the network card. Advanced tab, find the Speed & Duplex setting. The Gigabyte does not have 1Gbps but the HP does. Is the Gigabyte bumping up against it's limitations? If so then how to add a new card as the Gigabyte one is built in.
