Windows 10: sluggish/complete stoppage of computer

apps start up OK, but somewhere in the middle of some of them, complete stop and freezing for what seems like forever. Also has a blue circle that keeps spinning and spinning. Also have been receiving messages chrome not responding and chrome didn't shut down properly. How can I fix all this.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

PC Sluggish After Waking From Sleep

Another thing, some users have reported that the possible reason why their computers are sluggish is fast startup (enabled by default). We may try disabling the fast startup, then check if the issue will still occur. To do so, please follow the steps below:

• Under Shutdown settings, uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended).

Windows 10 is unable to complete shut down

Method 2. Shutdown trick.

• Press Windows key.

• Click the Power icon.
• Select and click Shutdown.
