    SM Bus Controller has exclamation point after windows reset


    I reset my windows and deleted everything one month ago and reinstall windows 10 but it becomes very slow. When I click a file, it asks me to move it in recycle bin. So I reset it again and reinstall windows, the same thing happen, but my laptop became very slow, it has 3-5 seconds delay. And in device manager, the sm bus controller has exclamation point. I tried the tutorial on the Internet but it didn't work. Help me please, I can't buy a new laptop and I'm using this laptop to find job and for school.

    I was going to ask the questions below, but your post may have provided the answers, or a means to getting the answers, so I'll give it a go.

    "The problem remains. What is an SM Bus Controller? What does it do? Do I need it? How do I find out who is the manufacturer? Intel does not make finding a driver for an unknown SM Bus Controller easy. I have used CPUID to list what I have on the computer and the details are in a txt file which means nothing to me.
    Any help would be appreciated."
