    Small command-like window is always there and can't be closed


    Hello, I recently got a new computer and I noticed a small box on my desktop. that can be extended (see second picture) but doesn't want to be closed. There is no corresponding icon in the task bar neither. Somebody knows where it comes from?

    GPU-Z what command line parameter ?

    Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile Small command-like window is always there and can't be closed :)

    Hi Maria,

    I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
    Try to run the following commands and check if it helps.

    • Open command prompt. (Type it in Search or Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click on Command Prompt admin).
    • Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    sfc /scannow

    powershell

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    • Close the CMD window.
    • Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
    Free up drive space in Windows 10
