Windows 10: Small gray transparent icon floating on top right screen

Hi, just updated to windows 11 on my Microsoft Surface Pro 7. There is this small gray floating half circle on top right if my screen. My mouse does not work and when I touch this gray circle a box opens up as follows:ViewSort byRefresh NewDisplay settings PersonalizeOpen in terminal Show more options.I CANNOT get rid of this box or gray circle.Please help

Floating Transparent Magnifying Glass in Windows 10

I just upgraded from Windows 10 1903 to Windows 10 2004 Update and have lost the floating transparent magnifier icon when I activate the magnify function. I now get a persistent menu bar for magnifier which takes up way too much screen area.

It looks as if Microsoft has removed the "Collapse Magnifier window to a floating transparent magnifying glass" in the options with this update.

Is there a way to get the transparent floating magnifying glass icon back again?

Thank you for getting back to my email. Please try the following steps below.

1. Open Magnifier.

2. You can change your magnifier view by pressing Ctrl + Alt + M – this will cycle through full screen mode, a floating transparent magnifying glass, or docked.

this should open the transparent floating window.

Press the Windows logo key + Plus (+) or Minus (-) to zoom in and out.

Windows 11 - Floating transparent box over the taskbar with loading cursor

I have a workaround to stop this happening. I’ve posted it multiple times, I hope the original poster will accept it as the answer as it disappears in all of the answers. Forget searching for something, follow these steps and you will be fine:

1. First do a restart so that the small window is not blocking anything.
   
2. Then click on the blue window at the bottom of your screen.
   
3. Type in "transparency",
   
4. select the first thing that comes up in the search that is "Transparency Effects".
   
5. In the popup turn off the transparency effects.
   
6. You need to restart your computer
   
7. Welcome to not be bothered by this transparent window anymore
