Windows 10: Small PNG Files appear blurry in File Explorer "Preview"

I have noticed that any image that I have that is below 256x256 shows up blurry when using the file explorers "Preview." See the attached image.How can I fix this? I have always noticed this, ever since I started using Windows. I know it is an intended feature, but it gets in the way of me being able to efficiently manage textures for my game, as I am dealing with hundreds of textures that are smaller than 32x32. I have to manually open each texture inside of a separate editor just to see the image, rather than just being able to see the image clearly in preview. I have seen other posts about

• Since when have you been experiencing this issue?
• Were there any changes on your PC before this happened like software or updates installed?

For initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Access this link
  
  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
• Delete all the files.
• After deleting the files kindly try and see if there's a thumbnail preview of your files.

pdf preview in Windows 10 file explorer

I have been using "preview pane" in file explorer forever. However, for some unknown reason, the preview pane for pdf files have become very small, to the point where the pdf file preview pane is too small and unreadable. preview pane for all other files
appears to be ok (large enough as before). this is only affecting pdf files.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader.

I am looking for suggestions to get back to where the preview pane of pdf files is as large as before

 

Preview in File Explorer with Edge

To do this follow the steps below.

• Press WINDOWS + i on your keyboard
  
• Click on "APPS" then click on Default apps
  
• Click on Microsoft Edge browser
  
• Then in the "PDF" option you choose which default browser you want to open files in PDF format.
