Windows 10: Smartcardreader

Hi,I've a onepass DP905 smartcard reader. I try to use the reader on a new laptop. However hwen plugging it into the USB port the laptop doesn't notice the device. No tone when plugging in or removing the usb connector. Not shown in the device manager. Regardless which usb port is used.The smartcard reader works fine on a windows 10 desktop and another Laptop. The usb on the laptop works fine when connecting another device ie an external hdisk.I tried:-to clear the USB controllers from the device manager and restarting the PC. No improvement. - start the smartcardreader service under services.

Those services are not present on my PC.
Did you machine come with a smartcardreader or was Smartcard reader software installed at one point in time ?

You could try to disable the services I quoted because I suspect the errors are caused by them trying to start but not being able to run.

No, I do not think it has anything to do with missing certificates.

What does the error message "The smart card is not fully personalized for use" mean?

I just had the same issues and realised I missed the /generate suffix within the syntax. I deleted the initial card using tpmvscmgr.exe destroy /instance ROOT\SMARTCARDREADER\0000 and then recreated correctly.
