Windows 10: Snip and Sketch isn't working correctly

I run it from the notification bar and when I select an area the app doesn't open to give me edit/saving choices.

I've reset the app, confirmed the settings are set to "Ask to save snip" but it doesn't want to work.

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

did nothing

I'm running windows 10 1909.

Anything else I could try?

Snip & Sketch tool not working

Snip & Sketch not working correctly after recent update.

When I select New snip the screen shades like normal but then wont capture my snip from any application. It will still capture my snip from websites though.

How do I get it work again, especially in my Word, Excel and Adobe applications?

 

Snip and Sketch Awkward

Use Windows+shift+s to launch Snip and Sketch. Can snip a screenshot.

Now the problem is this: after snipping the screen shot, it does not automatically appear in the Snip and Sketch app. So I open Snip and Sketch and there's nothing on it.

So I have choose 'new' and snip the screen yet again.

I recall using this once and taking a screenshot and voila! Snip and Sketch appeared with the screen shot duly in the app's workspace, ready for annotations and saving etc. This facility has disappeared. I have re-set it according to instructions, and even
reinstalled it - yet the problem persists.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

 

Snip & Sketch keeps overriding clipboard

Method 1

and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

Method 2

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I key and click on
   Apps.
   
2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
   
3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
   
4. Click on Reset option.
   
5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
   
6. Let us know if the issue still persists.
