Windows 10: snip and sketch new feature blocks view of image, what is it called and how to turn it off

snip and sketch shows a new feature when I open a saved pic, a small box a the center bottom that looks/works like a slide view, it blocks information I want to see sometimesI can't figure out what it is called to research how to turn it off it will show three pics in a black box in the center, bottom of the view, disappears if I choose "zoom" to sizewhat is that called and can I turn it off?

Thank you for updating me that information. If you mean the snip and sketch? Based on your description the snipping tool is crashing?

Please try to reset Snip and Sketch

Press Start then search Apps and Features

Select Snip and Sketch on the list

Click Terminate then Reset

If it doesn't work, Please try to create a new administrator account then check if everything is working.

Sketch and Snip

As we are working as a IT support for the secure project, we need to disable the sketch and snip in windows 10 20h2 as well as in 21h2.

We have tried to add the registry keys for DisabledHotKeys as well as NoWinKeys, and we have turned off the hotkeys from the gpedit.msc.

But it is helping to disable the hotkeys only but not the sketch and snip. There are different ways to open the sketch and snip.

1) If we disabled the hotkeys, we are able to open the sketch and snip from start.

2) We are able to open the sketch and snip from the quick actions which is inside the notification bar.

3) We are able to open the sketch and snip by using the command explorer ms-screenclip:

Please suggest here to disable or remove the sketch and snip completely from the Windows 10.

Snip and Sketch does have those features

If you click the arrow beside 'New', you get 3 options: Snip Now, Snip in 3 seconds and Snip in 10 seconds

At the top center of your screen is the free form tool, Window tool, rectangle tool . . etc.
