Windows 10: Snip only copying to clipboard

Discus and support Snip only copying to clipboard in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; When I snip sometimes it only copies to the clipboard not the app. This means that I cannot save it, I have to paste it into Word and then save that,...     When I snip sometimes it only copies to the clipboard not the app. This means that I cannot save it, I have to paste it into Word and then save that, which is lower quality

    Snip & Sketch overrides clipboard

    I configured my Snip & Sketch app so that snips will not automatically copied. But they are always copied automatically to the clipboard. I did the troubleshooting
    steps such as computer rebooting but all in vain

    Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

    1) Try these fixes for Windows 11 Snipping Too can't copy to clipboard:

    2) If none of those work, See if you can System Restore to a point before this started. System Restore is a time machine that takes you back to a point where Windows was working correctly: How to Use System Restore in Windows 11

    If the problem repeats then System Restore again or uninstall any Updates that were just installed in Settings > Windows Update > Update History, restart Windows and immediately block those Updates as shown here:

    I just found one of my apps running background might be the reason.

    It conflicts with snipping tools only when I use the rectangular mode.
