Windows 10: Snip & Sketch BROKEN in Latest Version V10.1907.24710

Snip & Sketch is BROKEN; Is Anybody Listening? Several Users including myself have added Reviews Telling Microsoft that S&S was Broken in Version V10.1907.24710 sometime in Late June / Early July 2020. None of these Complaint / Problem Reviews have been responded to by anyone at Microsoft, not even to Acknowledge the Problem. This Product Used to Work Fine Jan-Jun 2020. This new Version Snip & Sketch is BROKEN; Is Anybody Listening?


I have reported details of this problem Snip Windows hangs after Snip taken with no Response or ability to move forward to the Snip Edit screen.

I have had to go back to Old Snipping Tool. Is Anyone at Microsoft Watching or Reading these Reviews?

Snip & Sketch

It's the Snipping Tool that's being phased out, not Snip & Sketch. FWIW, I just used the latter tool and was able to paste the snip into a Word (Office 365) document. There was a point in the past when for reasons unknown, opening Word would clear the
clipboard. If you're using an older version, you might want to try opening the document first, before taking a screenshot.

If you prefer to use Snipping Tool, all you have to do (as I suggested earlier) is open the Start Menu and type snip.

 

Snip & Sketch keeps overriding clipboard

Here are the few steps you can try to fix the issue.

Method 1

Refer the article Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

Method 2

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I key and click on
   Apps.
   
2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
   
3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
   
4. Click on Reset option.
   
5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
   
6. Let us know if the issue still persists.

Thank you for updating me that information. If you mean the snip and sketch? Based on your description the snipping tool is crashing?

Please try to reset Snip and Sketch

Press Start then search Apps and Features

Select Snip and Sketch on the list

Click Terminate then Reset

If it doesn't work, Please try to create a new administrator account then check if everything is working.
