  1. Snip & Sketch doesn't properly work for maximized application windows


    When either the target application window is maximized or one of its child windows is maximized e.g., a YouTube video, Snip & Sketch does not load the captured image into the Snip & Sketch application window when the capture is triggered either by the keyboard shortcut or by Windows right-side slide-in menu whatever that's called. And moreover, the alert box in the bottom right corner doesn't display thereby enabling the user to click on it to load the image. Hence, it doesn't seem possible to complete the capture and copy the image to another application. This behavior seems like

    I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem with Windows Photo and Snip and Sketch not working. Did you made any changes recently? When was the last time it was working properly?
    What is your current windows version and edition? Press Start then search Settings, select System then About.

    Kindly try the suggested methods below.

    **Run the troubleshooter:

    Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

    **Make sure Photos and Snip& Sketch version is up to date

    Open Microsoft Store then Click 3 dots

    Select Download and Updates >

    Update Microsoft Photos, Snip and Sketch or click Get Updates

    **Uninstall Snip and Sketch via Powershell

    Press Windows Key+X then select Powershell(Admin)

    Copy paste the command below then press Enter

    Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.ScreenSketch* -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

    After that, Open Microsoft Store then Install Snip and Sketch

    If it doesn't work, Copy paste the command below then press Enter to reinstall Snip and Sketch.

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.ScreenSketch | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Go to Settings and selecting "Apps and Features". Find "Snip and Sketch" in the list and select it. The "Advanced options" button should appear, click it. You will see the "Repair" button. If it doesn't work, Kindly click the Reset.

    Restart your PC

    Thank you for updating me that information. If you mean the snip and sketch? Based on your description the snipping tool is crashing?

    Please try to reset Snip and Sketch

    Press Start then search Apps and Features

    Select Snip and Sketch on the list

    Click Terminate then Reset

    If it doesn't work, Please try to create a new administrator account then check if everything is working.
