Windows 10: Snip & Sketch keyboard shortcuts no longer working

Hello,My Snip & Sketch keyboard shortcuts that both open and activate the new snip functionality are supposed to be, by default, assigned to "Windows key + Shift key + the letter "S" key but that is not working for both opening and activating the new snip functionality. Currently in the settings for the S&S app it only gives the option to open the app using the Print Screen key and there is no option for setting the keyboard shortcut, it is still showing that, by default, it is assigned to Windows + Shift + "S" but that is not working at all. My Snip & Sketch keyboard shortcuts that both open and activate the new snip functionality are supposed to be, by default, assigned to "Windows key + Shift key + the letter "S" key but that is not working for both opening and activating the new snip functionality.

Currently in the settings for the S&S app it only gives the option to open the app using the Print Screen key and there is no option for setting the keyboard shortcut, it is still showing that, by default, it is assigned to Windows + Shift + "S" but that is not working at all.

Currently I can also no longer take screenshots/snips of open menus using S&S. As stated the default keyboard shortcuts are not working, and when I open the program and again try to use them nothing happens and if I open the program and click on the "New Snip" button while I have a menu open that I need to take a "Snip" of the button causes the menu to close. I feel like I am dead in the water with this app currently.

All of the following troubleshooting methods have failed: Repairing, Resetting & Uninstalling/Reinstalling. The keyboard shortcuts still are not working. When I do not have the program open and I attempt to use the keyboard shortcuts nothing at all happens, when I have the program open and attempt the shortcuts I get a "bong" (system default beep)

I love this app and use it practically constantly, so I really need this fixed. Thank you in advance for all the assistance.

Microsoft, you really need to stop taking away our ability to customize and troubleshoot our own individual systems and their settings. You are NOT OMNIPOTENT! I state with total CONFIDENCE that "resistance is NOT futile"....It just takes an awful long time to be successful!

 

Snip and Sketch shortcuts.

Is it possible to create a taskbar shortcut to open 'Snip and Sketch' directly and without it opening the whole App?

These images should clarify what I mean. Snip and Sketch can be added to the taskbar but it always opens as shown. By pure chance I found a button in the action centre that also opens Snip and Sketch. This one opens just the working App ready to go and use without the other screen info present.

Does your keyboard have a PrtScn key? You can enable the PrtScn shortcut to open the Snip & Sketch instead. If you have that key, go to Settings > Ease of access > Keyboard > enable Print Screen SHortcut and see if it opens the Snip & Sketch
