Windows 10: Snipping Tool automatically opening Microsoft edge in Windows 10

Whenever I am pressing Window+Shift+S it automatically open Microsoft Edge and makes me unable to take screenshot of any other interphace.

Windows 10 Snipping Tool on Windows 7

All it is is one extra step beyond what is native to windows 10. Yes, technically it would be easier to have the functionality of print built in to the Windows 7 version, but you just have to save it ,and right click on it ,and print.

As far as getting the windows 10 version into windows7. I know there was a way to get the old winpaint, so maybe there's a way to get the snipping tool into 10, I don't know.

less than helpful. I know Windows 7 has a snipping tool. I want to move the Snipping Tool in Windows 10, which has printing capability built in, to a Windows 7 machine. thanks tho.

I am aware that Snipping Tool was opening Edge and gave you many more repairs than SFC or DISM to try which should have fixed this. Why were no results posted back for all of these repairs that almost always fix the Snipping Tool?

What type of "fresh install" did you do? I suggested only as a last resort to do a Repair Install which reinstalls Windows while saving your files and apps in place, brings it up to the latest version by the most stable method, takes about an hour and resolves most problems, as detailed here: https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/fix-windows.... Is this what you did?

What about all of the other repairs I gave you which should have fixed this? Please go back to the top of the list and complete each step and this time report back results for each so I know what to suggest.
