Windows 10: Snipping Tool For Win10 Pro not updated to include the screen recording

Hello,I am on a still fabulously working 14 year old HP DV7 laptop I have upgraded all possible HW over the years running Win10 Pro. I recently wanted to use the screen recording feature of the Windows Snipping Tool but discovered that the tool hasn't updated/upgraded to the new version that includes screen recording capabilities. I looked in the Windows Store to see if I could either update the currently installed version which is still showing as the old app which was Snip & Sketch and the version is 10.2008.3001.0 and there is no available Snipping Tool in the Windows Store to insta

Can't screen record with snipping tool.

When I try to screen record with the snipping tool, it loads for a couple of seconds and then denies me. Any suggestions?

Snipping tool does not have recorder

it is Windows11 and looked for screen recorder. As many free software work but comes with watermark. So I looked recorder for Windows11. According to Microsoft post here Snipping Tool and Xbox Game Box will do for free. But for me there is no recorder in Snipping Tool. I even looked for updates, possible I got older version but the app store has nothing mentioned about the recorder in Snipping Tool.

 

Unable to record screen using Snipping Tool.

When attempting to start a screen recording using the Snipping Tool, the recording process halts abruptly. An error message is displayed, stating: "Recording stopped. Something happened and we have stopped recording." (Image)

This issue occurs every time I try to initiate a screen recording, making it impossible to capture and save any screen activity. It disrupts my workflow and prevents me from using the Snipping Tool's recording functionality as intended.
