Windows 10: Snipping tool only pasting half of image into docs

Discus and support Snipping tool only pasting half of image into docs in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; For the last few months, my snipping tool will only paste half of what i've snipped into a doc.     Snipping tool only pasting half of image into docs


    For the last few months, my snipping tool will only paste half of what i've snipped into a doc. If I delete that first image I pasted, and paste again, it works, but never on the first go. Software is up to date. Any ideas how to fix this?Below is an example when pasting into PowerPoint, but it affects all programs in the same way. You can see what it shows me and the box indicates the full size of the image i've snipped.

    Snipping Tool Enlarging Images

    Hi Heather,

    Snipping Tool has various options on how you can capture images in your computer. To change it to normal snipping, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + S to open Search Box.
    • Type Snipping Tool, then click it.
    • Click New.
    • Click the drop-down menu in New.
    • Select Rectangular Snip.

    Snipping tool

    Since the snipping tool snapshot is in the scratch pad, you use the usual methods such as Edit/Paste or Ctrl+V.

    Please try this:

    Step 1:

    Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

    Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

    Click Reset,

    Click Repair.

    Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

    Step 2:

    Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

    Step 3:

    Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

    • Windows Push Notifications System Service
    • Windows Push Notifications User Service
