  1. Snipping Tool Shaded Area Does Not Cover All Displays Screens After 22H2 Update

After I did the Windows 11 Version 22H2 update, I started having trouble with the Snipping Tool. I use a Surface Pro 8 with two 27 Inch 4K Dell Monitors. I also use PowerToys to define the Fancy Zones I want for my normally displayed Apps. Before the 22H2 update, when I activated the Snipping Tool with Shift/Windows/S all display areas would be shaded and I could then select the area I wanted to snip. The selected area would be clearly indicated. Now I am getting very strange behavior. The shaded area does not cover all the display areas. Specifically, it covers about the upper 80% of my

  2. Screen snip not displaying snips

    hi,

I'm using Win10 Enterprise LTSC, I have been using Screen snip and it works well, but today when I take a snip the snip is not displayed, I've tried rebooting but this didn't make any difference, I checked Apps and Features and screen snip is not listed in it. The steps I took are: Click on Action Centre, select Screen snip, the screen snip icon appears on the top of the screen, screen goes grey and cursor turns into a crosshair, I select the area for the snip but nothing happens, the screen snip application should launch but it doesn't. Any ideas how to fix this?

  3. snipping tool

    Please try this:

    Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

    Click Reset,

    Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

    Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

    Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

    • Windows Push Notifications System Service
    • Windows Push Notifications User Service

  4. Snipping Tool Shaded Area Does Not Cover All Displays Screens After 22H2 Update

Windows 11 Snip and Sketch tool doesn't cover the whole screen

I literally had the same problem for months. I just tried the scaling solution and IT WORKED!

    SOLUTION:

It is caused by the different scale level of your monitors. That break the function of Snip and Sketch tool. To get rid of that, you need to reset the scaling you currently have in Windows 11.

    • From your desktop, click or tap on the Windows logo icon on taskbar, search for Settings and click the top result to open the app.
    • Click on the System category, and select the Display tab.
    • Go to its right side pane, under the “Scale & layout” section, use the Scale drop-down menu to configure that. You need to set all display scale to 100%, and make a rebooting to apply changes.
For example, I had configured my main display as 100%, while my secondary display of external monitor was 125%. the scaling is different between the two displays, so I could not use Snip and Sketch tool with the quick key. Once I set both displays to 1920 x 1080 resolution at 100%, everything works normally.
