    files inside seems to remain uncheckedi tried literally everything even a windows reinstallseems to be something with Creator Owner permisions is reverting there tooi run as admini can t find any solutions i tried with attrib, whith all solutions, all forums readed nothing solved.

    File View Keeps Reverting

    Unable to select List View for files and folders, keeps reverting to Details. Tried to save under Options, won't allow, keeps reverting.

    Duplicate Downloads folder keeps appearing

    On a hunch, I just tested something and it worked (for me at least). If the target folder of your junction has a custom icon, setting the ReadOnly attribute for the junction will cause it to use the cusomized icon of its target.
    1. Open a PowerShell window to C:\users\user
    2. Copy & Paste the following command: ($DL = gi Downloads).Attributes = $DL.Attributes -bor [IO.FIleAttributes]::ReadOnly

    New SSD, folders keep reverting to read only

    Hello,

    I have bought a new SSD and formatted it. All files within are automatically set to 'read only' and keep reverting whenever unticked.

    The SSD is NOT set to read only. It's shown as 'healthy' in Windows and in the diskpart cmd, it is also not shown as readonly.

    All users have full control. Controlled folder access under ransomware protection is off.

    I have tried mounting it as a folder and still face the same issues.

    Owner of SSD is set as: SYSTEM by default.

    If someone could help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am out of ideas.
