Windows 10: So I installed Server 2022 on Hyper-V for fun and can't login. Host is Win11 Pro, No insider.

Whenever I login by pressing Ctrl Alt Delete on he VM, it prepares security options for my Windows 11.

Can I run two Windows Server operating systems inside Hyper-V?

Okay which one is better to host another operating system Inside hyper-v out of these three with better function?

Win10 Pro - Hyper-V hosting a Server 2012 R2 Server + Gaming on Host?

Hi,

I run a home server for Hosting file shares, a Plex server, an LMS Squeezebox server, and Ubiquiti management server. The hardware is about 8 years old and I`m looking to upgrade.

One thing I would like to do is some VR gaming (Elite Dangerous specifically) and I`m thinking about leveraging the new hardware to host the server in a Hyper-V VM on the Windows 10 Pro machine, and then install Elite Dangerous on the host operating system for some VR gaming action.

As the 2012 R2 server hosts a number of essential services for the home, it needs to be running reliably 24/7, even when Im gaming on the host (which will be infrequently). The services running on the 2012 server take very little resources.

My question is - assuming I spec a good multi-core system, with plenty of RAM and a fast SSD for the OS - are there any issues with the approach I`m suggesting?

Would VR gaming work reliably in this configuration?

 

Hyper-V Manager Unable to Connect to Remote Servers in Windows 10

I recently upgraded from Win 8.1 Enterprise to Win 10 Enterprise. I had Hyper-V Manager installed to connect to a few Hyper-V hosts running on Windows 8.x. After the upgrade on my machine, I can no longer connect to the remote Hyper-V hosts.

• All Machines are part of the same domain.
• This worked prior to the upgrade.
• Verified that all the Remote Administration and WinRM features were enabled in the firewall post upgrade.

I've googled this a bit and tried a suggestion about running winrm quickconfig. That ran through it's process but did not resolve the issue.

Any help would be appreciated! I need to get access to manage these hosts through the Hyper-V MMC.
