I feel like an old man but I hate this new UI. Its to confusing. Plus my firends list stopped working.

Annoying Network Connection UI issues in Windows 10

I generally don't mind the UI of Windows 10 but I find the way that VPN connections are connected and disconnected very frustrating. I use multiple VPN connections on a regular basis so although the issues aren't major they cause quite a bit of frustration.

• Firstly trying to click the Network Icon on the Taskbar. Work working on my laptop screen everything is OK because the Network icon and language icon appear side by side. However, when working on my external monitor when I click the Network Icon the Icon
  slides left and the Language Icon appears.
  • Why are language settings even displayed here? This is not a setting that many users are ever likely to change.
  • Why can't the language icon be turned on\off like Network and Sound and other icons on the Taskbar?
• After the second click I bring up the list of network (wireless and VPN) connections. I then click on the VPN I want to connect to. Now instead of giving me options to Connect right there like in the good old days it opens a new window giving me the list
  of network connections. Now I can actually select the one I want and connect. While not overly onerous it is a big step back from the convenience of prior windows versions...

• Once done with the connection I have to face the inconveniences described in Issue 1 and 2 to get to where I can disconnect the VPN. However, the first time the Network form opens with the VPN connections there is no disconnect option. You need to close
  the window then repeat steps 1 and 2. This time the disconnect option is there.

Not sure whether there are fixes or work around for these issues and I can't find others posting them so not sure whether this should be a question or a discussion.

Any thoughts, assistance or commiserations appreciated
