Windows 10: So I'm trying to log in to windows with my pin but says Code 0x80090016 carnt sign in

So I get the Code 0x80090016 when trying to log in with pin wont reset pc just black screens cannot log in in safe mode or safe mode with cmd prompt or start up restore wont fix any other suggestions other than system restore

0x80090016. We suggest that you boot your computer in Safe Mode and log in, then reboot back into normal mode. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Hold down the Shift key while you press the Power icon and select
  Restart.
• In the Windows Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
• When your computer restarts, the Startup Settings will display. Select option 4 to
  Enable Safe Mode.
• Sign in to your account while in Safe Mode and see if you're able to log in using your PIN.
• Restart your computer to return to a normal boot.

Just did a Install/Repair on Lenovo Flex 14
Use Microsoft account log in
OK with password
Fails with Pin
0x80090016 Something went wrong...

Found a bunch of older post, all over, regarding different fixes. They either don't work or don't apply.

Not a disaster, just annoying as this is my work PC.*Sad

after I log in my pin # it brings up error code 0x80090016 and I can't get past log in page on laptop! I tried restarting many times. also tried taking battery out. please help! it happened when Windows 10 upgrade was downloading! HELP!
