    So Ive done some testing! (Win10 MP4/MP3 Bug)


    So Ive dont this on 2 computers but recently ive noticed when you search for a MP4 file in a folder and view the files by details, under the type for the mp4 file it will say WMP11.AssocFile.MP4. But when browsing files normally without searching it just states "MP4 File" or "Movies & TV".

    So I thought my computer was comprimised so I reset my computer to a version of windows from Jan 2019, and this problem didnt appear. Got curious and updated my Windows USB to version 2004 and the problem came back!

    Closed case right? Well I then got my old laptop and reset it to version 2004 again and the problem wasnt there... until i realised MP4 files were playing with windows media player and not Movies & TV. So I changed what it opens with and restarted the laptop, nothing changed until I tried the same thing with a MP3 file! And BOOM, on the laptop it says "WMP11.AssocFile.MP3" which I then noticed it does the same thing on my main computer!

    In conclusion I think this is a problem with the new updates to Groove Music and Movies & TV and how they are named in the newest version.

    Its not so much of a issue but more of a consistancy problem that may confuse/scare some users.

    N6230i mp3 to mp4 convertor

    Err?, the 6230i will play mp3 files already, so no need to convert to mp4. Hope this helps.

    A New Mp4 Player.

    I'm gonna buy a new Mp4 player. Suggest me some good ones, I personally like the Sony NWZ-F and Cowon iAudio 10.

    If there are any good or better please suggest!

    Why does some .mp3 files doesn't have ThumbNails on them in Explorer?

    I've used to following free MP3 utilities to check and repair MP3 files:

    1. Use Tagscanner to check/edit the track details, artist, album art etc
    2. Use MP3Tag to check the tags are v2.3. Cut the tag then paste it back to set v2.3 if incorrect.
    3. Use MP3Test to quickly check and test for mp3 file errors
    4. Use MP3Diags to check and correct mp3 files in detail. This program needs some expertise to use.

    I found some of my files had two embedded album art files so I ensured only one was stored.
