Windows 10: So my older Toshiba has me locked out, I have to enter the hhd/SSD password but idk what it is.

Id like to be able to resolve this issue without opening us the bottom of the laptop, as I have no experience working with electronics such as this one. I have looked it up and tried various methods of pushing f keys, or the del key. But I don't have any laptop tools or readers or anything so idk if that's why. Thanks for the help

HHD to SSD

Get the SSD and a way to connect to the computer and clone it from the HHD.

There are a number of free programs to use to do the clone. I used EaseUS toDoBacklUp.

Please do let us know the following to understand the issue and assist you better:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Are you trying to log-in using Microsoft account or local account?
• Are you trying to enter pin or password?

Assuming that this issue might be because of keyboard, I suggest you to use on-screen keyboard from the lock screen and check if it helps.

Steps: From the lock screen, click on Ease of access and click on On-screen keyboard.
