Windows 10: so when i go to check for update on my widows 7 home premium it keep saying error code...

so when i go to check for update on my widows 7 home premium it keep saying error code 80072EFE. how do i fix this?

Edge - does not update - error code 7: 0x80072EFD — system level

Yesterday and today I have been trying to update Edge.
Both on VM and host, the 'Check for updates' runs for a while (checking) but ends with an error.

An error occurred while checking for updates: Unable to connect to the Internet. If you use a firewall, please allow list MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe. (error code 7: 0x80072EFD — system level).

Disabled Microsoft Defender firewall : makes no difference
The MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe can not connect with Internet, however, everything is in order.





Any suggestions?

Windows 7 Home Premium Update To Windows 10 Error

Hey Everyone

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and every time I try to install Windows 10, I am receiving error 80070002. It's frustrating because it takes nearly 2 hours to download and then displays the error and then I have to start all over. I have gone through this
cycle nearly 5 or 6 times at this point.

Here are some of the things that I have tried:

• Delete everything in DataStore and Downloads in the SoftwareDistribution
• Run the Windows Update Diagnostic Tool - says not fixed the error
• I manually reset Windows Update components including advanced step 4 from this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058
• I updated the Windows Update Agent to the latest version
• I did a clean boot following the steps in this page: How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

I tested the update after each step and each time I received the same error: 80070002. What else can I try?

OS - Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1

Manufacturer - HP

Processer - AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor 3.00 GHz

RAM - 5.00 GB

Type - 64-bit
