I'm not sure why there's so much emphasis on "Biometric sensors" these days -- seems they can get hacked quicker than a sieve sinks in a pool of water.

Same is true for some of those latest laptops with Finger sensor technology too.

When in a phone call, i am unable to turn on the screen

Thanks for the quick reply!

The issue here is that the screen doesnt turn back on when the phone is no longer near my head. Because of this, i cant end any phone calls or use the dialpad. When the phone call ends (by the other person hanging up) the phone returns to normal. I am
definitely no where near the sensor. Im guessing the issue is that the sensor is dirty, so the phone thinks its constantly being covered??

There is a proximity sensor to the top right of the phone. Call your phone and cover it with your finger and the screen should lock. If it doesn't then the sensor is faulty. Othrwise hen you are talking on the phone ensure that this sensor is covered.
