Windows 10: Software automatically downloading

Hi,


My desktop went for a repair at HP. Once back from the repair, I noticed that the PC has been reset i.e: setup screen was present upon turning it on. I was then greeted with the factory apps and home screen. No old contents/software was present. However, AVG Internet Security started to install by itself without myself downloading it. AVG did never appear when the desktop was brought new only Mcafee is provided with HP or during previously resets. But, I've had AVG on the system prior it went with HP/reset.


How can AVG appears on its own and install itself even after the reset was carried out?

I also suggest you to follow the steps below and check:

• press Windows + r to open run command.
• Run services.msc to open Services Manager.
• Ensure that the Windows Defender service is started and set to Automatic.
