Windows 10: SOLUTION FOR DUAL MONITOR ISSUE WHERE ONE MONITOR SHUTS OFF WHEN LAPTOP IS CLOSED OR WHEN...

Today is June 8, 2022. This is a recent issue as of around two days ago where whenever I'd close my laptop my primary monitor on my dual monitor setup would go black and say "HDMI No Signal." This issue confused me because when I got my ROG FLOW X13 laptop months ago, I'd set my power setting to where closing my laptop while plugged in wouldn't cause the laptop to sleep or shut off my dual monitors. My dual-monitors, both GIGABYTE G32QC A, would continue to stay extended and work as normal, regardless of what frequency or resolution I used. My primary monitor is plugged into my laptop's single

I have Two monitors, my laptop is in front of me, the second is to the left of the laptop. the problem I have is that when I want to move the cursor to the left monitor screen, it stops at the left side of the laptop monitor and won't go further, but when
I move the cursor to the right side of the laptop, it moves past the right side of the screen and appears on to the left monitor screen. this is obviously opposite of the direction I need the cursor to moving and is frustrating as times. I need a suggestion
to solve this dilemma. I don't see a solution in the manual. Thank You

 

Monitor with shut laptop

The particular steps you need to take will depend on the specific make and model of your laptop. If after reading the comments below you need more help, please identify the make and specific model of your laptop.

In general, the first step is to connect the monitor to the laptop. Again, depending on your laptop, the display may immediately switch from the laptop to the monitor or -- more likely -- you'll have to press some combination of Fn and a numbered F key.

Most laptops have 3 options: display on laptop only; display on external monitor only; or display on both monitors.

Once you get the display on the external monitor only, close the laptop's lid. Either the laptop will shutdown/go to sleep or nothing will happen (which is what you want).

If the laptop does shutdown or go to sleep even when the display is only on the external monitor, click Start, type Power Options and then click "Choose What Closing the Lid Does"

Dual monitor issue

I have a dual monitor for my laptop and the laptop screen will go black. Both monitors will be functioning normally, and the laptop display will go black and all programs running will default to the second monitor. If I close the screen and re-open it
the laptop display will come back on and all programs move to the laptop screen, and same thing occurs if I use shift+F3 to extend displays. This happens randomly throughout the day. Other computers, they are the same computers and configuration and same external
monitor, do not have this issue. Any idea what is causing this...is it the graphics card failing or something else? running windows 10 Pro
