Solution to "Browsers freeze Win 10"

I'm again opening new thread because I still cannot reply to Community. After weeks of testing, it seems I finally find the cause of the freezing problem. In short: Update the firmware of the SSD where the browsers are installed and problem is solved. Guess this is not a common problem, just leave my solution here in case someone needs it.

    :)

    Update Freezing Web Browsers

    Hi,

There may be some browser components that do not sit well with the new updates installed on your computer. Before we can resolve the error, please answer these questions for us to understand what happens:

    • Do you get any error messages when the browsers freeze?
    • Are Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge affected?
    • Does the problem occur when you access a specific site?

We suggest you delete the browser history, or completely reset the browsers that are affected.

Let us know if the suggestions fix the problem.

Come back if you need more help.

Win 10 CU (not FCU) stutters and freezes a lot with various operations

I get momentary freezes and stuttering with a range of Windows menu operations. *sarc These are the ones that are top of mind but I'm sure there are others. Win 10 Pro 64, up to date on patches.

    • Xing out a FireFox tab
    • Click on FILE menu (drop down is delayed)
    • FILE > Print (printer list or print menu is delayed)
    • Selecting a higher level on the file path in the SAVE menu
    • Search menu at bottom of Windows
    • Typing in many situations.

Any suggestions? Or this this a known problem in Win 10? I've had this problem for some time, but lately it has gotten me really PO'ed.*Confused

Chrome keeps freezing on Windows 10

    Hi Pat,

There may be a few reasons why your Google Chrome keeps on freezing. One reason is the browser that you're using. For us to further isolate your concern, we need you to answer the following:

    • Is this happening on other browsers as well (e.g. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox)?
    • Does the issue persist only on a specific website or it occurs on all websites?

Let us know if you're still getting the same error after performing our suggested troubleshooting step so we can assist further.

Win 10/ Browsers: Hi all. I've had Windows 10 since about July of 2015. At first I did the in-place upgrade on my previous Windows 8.1 system. Then a month or so later, I did a clean install via a USB drive; that's what I've been using since (and it's Windows 10 Home, 64-bit). I've...
