Went through this a few times. Found a solution that worked for me.Step 1 - Make sure you open CMD in elevated privileges run as administratorStep 2 - Type slmgr.vbs /upk either it uninstalled product key or there will be error message. Disregard Error msg if applicable.Step 3 - Type slmgr /cpky this will clear registry of any product keys< this is actually why we receive the error Get error "0xc004e016 on a computer running microsoft windows non-core edition" wait for pop up stating key has been successfully removed from registry.Step 4 - [Next 3 steps] Im not going to give my

d) Type “slui.exe 4” and press enter and then follow the prompts to activate the copy by phone.

Get error "0xc004e016 on a computer running microsoft windows non-core edition" when i want to change the product key.

Hello, I'm trying to activate a Windows 10 21H2 Enterpise LTSC 2019 workstation with a license purchased through the volume licensing center. I have just tested this license on a freshly installed Windows 10 image and it was able to successfully install so the license is good and for LTSC 2019.

What I have tried:

slmgr /ipk xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

This give the title error : "0xc004e016 on a computer running microsoft windows non-core edition"

slui 4

Does not work at all, no error, no popup, nothing, the command runs and gives no output.

slui 3 and then subsequently enter the license key

Gives error: "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (0x80041014)

I have run:

slmgr /upk
slmgr.vbs /cpky
slmgr /ckms
slmgr.vbs /ckms
slmgr /skms localhost

All of these commands worked but didn't change the behavior of the above.

I tried deleting C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\2.0\cache\cache.dat as a suggestion from another forum post with a similar issue, this did not change the behavior of the above.

I also tried running sfc /scannow it completed successfully but again did not fix the problem.
