I've Recently got a windows 11 laptop and i have being trying to connect my third monitor to the laptop with a vga to usb 3.0 adapter but the driver isnt working

Hi David. Mine is the same question but for Windows 10.

I am trying to extend my desktop on an HP Paviliion All-In-One 23-P105a to an external HP EliteDisplay E221i via a USB3-to-VGA adapter (no brand). I have installed the drivers [from the

CD installation disk 'Windows7-Windows10_2.0.2.exe', under a User profile and the Admin profile with the same results], rebooted the PC and find that the adapter is recognised (usb extscreen, XXX USB Display) under both User and Admin accounts.

In the Admin account, the external display is recognised and can be used as a second screen, but under the User account the display isn't recognised. The device manager does not display any errors when logged in as the standard user.

Seems like a permissions thing, but I don't know what to do do. Any suggestions ?
